I might, after the novel comes out, do a page on the FHD edition of Glie. The series' Glie is only a tiny, one year snapshot of a town that knows very little of its context and contains several fascinating architectural inconsistencies. The Temple, Wall, and ruins seen in Episode 6, appear to be constructed of, at the very least, an advanced form of concrete, while vehicles, lighting, power systems, even the windmills, are consistent with a 1940s technological basis (although Reki's barrier tape seen in Episode 1, as well as the prevalence of flourescent lighting in Old Home may hint at a slightly more advanced period, at least in Old Home's case.) In the FHD-verse, Haibi is what Glie used to be a long, long time before the series. I do a lot of apocalyptic stuff in the FHD-verse. There are three distinct apocalyptic periods, and hints that another may begin any moment after the end of FHD Remix: Three Worlds in One. The first is the First War in 2344BCE, during which the Soul Cube, Haibi's progenitor, is constructed. The second is the Final War, which ends in 2156AD, at the end of which the Soul Cube creates Haibi. In 2232, Haibi is destroyed, but the wall is restored at the end of the battle. The survivors then found Glie on the (for the most part) buried and forgotten ruins of this extremely advanced culture, traces of which are seen in the series. The series is set in 3161-3162AD according to the FHD-verse.
