An unofficial translation project started by Lothe in 2004, before he joined OHBB. Shrike, DCH, Inc., ctw, Devil Doll, and others have contributed to it.
...the Grey Wings Project is an attempt to transcribe and translate all of the episodes of Haibane Renmei.
The final scripts include Kanji, Romaji, and English for all that's being said or written. They are widely accepted within the OHBB community.
As of autumn 2006, the first 5 episodes have been translated:
