Washi
Spokesman for, and probable leader of, the Haibane Renme, The Washi is the 'Voice' of the renmei in it's dealings with it's charges, the town and the outside world.
It should be noted that 'Washi' (communicator or speaker) Is a title, rather than a proper name. The name of the current washi, like those of all the renmei, is unknown. (see 'renmei' and 'true names')
